According to The Today Show (yes, the Trevor Noah one), Adidas is actually pronounced “Ah-dih-dahh.” I know—your whole world has been shattered. Well, there other few brands that I have butchered in the past and these include Zara, L’Occitane, and Ouidad. Spoiler alert: Nobody really knows how to say these words.

Zara is supposed to have a rolled “r” (it almost sounds like a “d”). And the first part of Estée Lauder is pronounced “Est-ehh.” Vidal Sassoon is pronounced “Vee-dahl Sas-sson.” The biggest surprise of them all to many, however, is definitely the Adidas revelation.
