Thirty-two-year-old Nthatisi Moraloge from Bloemfontein is one of the semi-finalists for Mrs South Africa. The soft-spoken Sotho queen matriculated at Navalsig High school in 2001. She furthered her studies at the then Technikon Free State now called Central University of Technology FS where she studied National Diploma in Marketing.
Nthatisi later moved to Pretoria in 2005 to further her studies. This loving wife and mother of two is also an Export Promotion Manager. This lady’s passion about women empowerment, small medium enterprise development and promoting South African exports in International markets drives her day-to-day life. Besides empowering others through SMEs, Nthatisi and her husband also do charity work. They run an NPO called Sow a Seed Foundation, which supports a children’s home in Mamelodi by providing them with love, food, clothing, motivational talk and host fun events for the children.
She entered Mrs South Africa to meet amazing and successful women who would not only inspire her but also encourage her to work harder and achieve greater things in life as well as change people’s lives. She also wanted to develop herself further in the areas of leadership, public speaking, motivation, self-confidence
I hope to use the skills and life experiences to motivate and inspire especially younger women. I am very passionate about going to various schools and teaching young girls about self-value, self-love, grooming and general etiquette. I believe if we teach and groom young girls to know that they are wonderfully and fearfully created this will help them to value themselves, to embrace their uniqueness and build their self-confidence
She believes that Mrs South Africa would provide her with a platform to get outside her comfort zone and motivates her to be a better version of herself. “I hope to use the skills and life experiences to motivate and inspire especially younger women. What is Mrs South Africa? You may be asking yourself.
Mrs South Africa is not the typical beauty pageant. It offers married South African women who have real-life careers, families, and hobbies the chance to compete for the prestigious title of Mrs South Africa. Glamour and sophistication are part of the criteria, but the women who enter and win all have those relatable stories. We all know a Mrs South Africa: she is smart and ambitious, and cares about her family and the community.
The Mrs South Africa pageant is about giving South Africa’s unsung superwomen a chance to get support and give input, and a platform to reach a new level of success and visibility on a global stage.
